The CL-SL120 are the blue cleats of the Shimano SPD-SLR system, the middle ground between the 6° yellow and the fixed red. With 2° of total float, 1° each side, they give the heel just enough play to ease the load on your joints without taking anything away from power transfer. They’re the choice for riders who want precise, almost-fixed engagement but aren’t ready to give up foot freedom entirely.

Stability first
The ultra-low stack brings the shoe closer to the pedal axle: less distance means a more direct push and a more stable platform. The SPD-SLR interface eliminates any play between cleat and pedal body, and with such limited float the feeling of solidity is clear on climbs, out of the saddle and in sprints. The flatter shoe pitch angle supports the foot’s natural movement within the available 2°.

Setup and walking
Lateral adjustment is simple and lets you set foot position precisely, while fore-aft adjustment depends on the shoe. The thinner rear section limits toe lift when you walk and makes time on foot away from the bike more comfortable.

Compatibility
The CL-SL120 fit all SPD-SL-compatible 3-bolt shoes. They are designed exclusively for Shimano SPD-SLR pedals and are not compatible with SPD-SL pedals. Check which system you’re running before you buy.
