The Verticale SLR combines a classic, timeless design with top-level performance. It’s an ultralight climbing machine, and this build strikes the perfect balance between performance and price: a Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset paired with Fulcrum wheels running ceramic bearings. It weighs just 7.29 kg fully built.

The Verticale SLR replaces a Wilier icon, the Zero SLR. It is an ultra-light all-rounder with an 8% better stiffness-to-weight ratio than its predecessor, aerodynamically optimized and stiff enough for even the most powerful riders. The frame weighs just 648 g in size M, 15% less than the Zero SLR.

This build

This Verticale SLR in size XL and Velvet Red is a custom build designed for riders who want a light, responsive bike without compromising on versatility. Shimano Ultegra Di2 provides reliable electronic shifting. Fulcrum Sharq 42 wheels are paired with Pirelli P Zero Race TLR RS 30c tyres for speed and grip. The 50-34 chainrings and 11-34 cassette offer a wide gear range, ideal for long climbs and varied terrain. Total weight is 7.29 kg.

Technical details

Frame and fork

The monocoque frame is built with Active Molding technology using Toray T800, T1100 and M46 JB carbon fibre, with over 400 pre-preg sheets. It features a newly integrated seat clamp, a repositionable front derailleur mount for chainrings up to 55T and a UDH-compatible rear dropout. The asymmetrical fork weighs only 296 g, with a reinforced brake-side leg and an integrated bearing seat in the tapered crown.

V-Bar cockpit

The integrated V-Bar weighs 310 g and was developed with Wilier-sponsored teams. It is narrower at the levers and flares by 30 mm towards the drops. It is stiffer, lighter and better at damping vibrations, and includes a dedicated aluminium computer mount.

Size and fit

The Verticale SLR comes in 6 frame sizes and 6 handlebar sizes. Compared to the Zero SLR, stack is almost unchanged while reach is longer. Contact us if you’d like to check that this size and configuration suit you.
